Like any form of exercise it pays to take things easy at first. You'll may, if you haven't exercised in a while, feel some normal muscle soreness at first which should ease off within 24 to 48 hours. We encourage people to really pay attention to moving within their pain free range of motion to avoid excessive strain on a particular joint or group of muscles.

If you feel unsure about Tai Chi as the right exercise for you then we always recommend that you talk with your GP or other healthcare professional. We will always answer any of your questions as best we can.

We have a golden rule in our classes, it goes, ‘If it hurts, stop doing it.’
